Rating & Capacity - Functionality

EZ Loader TMS's Rating and Capacity tools allows users to connect with DAT and Truckstop integrations in order to receive rates and capacity for Zip to Zip searches.

The Rating & Capacity page is located in the Menu bar on the left side of your screen.


Rating & Capacity - Search Interface Overview

Selecting Submit after entering an Origin and Destination Zip in addition to an equipment type will return rating and capacity results for that lane depending on your connected integrations.


Please Note: Support and mapping for certain equipment types differ between integrations. For example "Auto Carrier" in EZ Loader is linked to "Specialized" for Truckstop RateMate and is linked to "Flatbed" for DAT.

Results Screen

The bars towards the top of the results screen will return a summary of capacity as well as a number of averaged rating metrics from all of your connected integrations. Selecting "Show Capacity" under the capacity summary bar will display additional details and contact information for the returned carriers.


Under the summary bars you will see the specific rating results from your connected integrations as well as EZ Loaders built in "Past Rates" results bar.

The Past Rates results bar will search historical lanes from within your account and display your historical rates on the searched lane. Selecting "Lane History" will provide you with details of your historical lanes that comprise the metrics.


Getting your Settings right

On the right side of the Rating & Capacity screen, you will see a settings button that will allow you to adjust your search criteria.

Choosing Your Capacity

At the top of the search settings you will see a "Capacity" drop down that allows you to select the mode of transportation you would like returned in your search.

DAT Capacity Settings

There are 3 settings that go along with DAT's Capacity integration. These will determine the trucks that are returned under the capacity section of the results page.

Max Age - This will send DAT your preference on how far to look back on a truck that has been posted. These options are:

  • Hours: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16
  • Days: 1, 2, 4

Max Origin Deadhead - The maximum distance a posted truck can be from your origin.

Options are:

  • Miles: 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450

Max Destination Deadhead - The maximum distance a posted truck can be from your destination. Options are:

  • Miles: 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450

Truckstop Capacity

There are 3 settings that go along with Truckstop's Capacity integration. These will determine the trucks that are returned under the capacity section of the results page.

Max Age - This will send TS your preference on how far to look back on a truck that has been posted. These options are:

  • Hours: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16
  • Days: 1, 2, 4

Origin Range - The maximum distance a posted truck can be from your origin.

Options are:

  • Miles: 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450

Destination Range - The maximum distance a posted truck can be from your destination.

Options are:

  • Miles: 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450

DAT Rate Settings


DAT has a specific way that they calculate rates, below are the options given within the DAT API. These options can be changed to adjust the results.


Hiding or Displaying Options


Checking or unchecking options in the bottom of the settings page will allow you to hide or show specific capacity or rating APIs
