Integrations - MyCarrierPortal (MCP)

EZ Loader's Integration with MyCarrierPortal gives you access to MCP's Carrier Monitoring and Onboarding Services.

Note: MyCarrierPortal is formerly known as MyCarrierPackets

Setup

Directly within your MCP account, navigate to the "Integration Tools" page, select "Add Integration" and choose EZ Loader TMS from the dropdown list.

Create an integration username and password for EZ Loader TMS

Once you have created your integration credentials, go into your EZ Loader account and select your initials in the top right corner > Settings > Integrations

Select the + sign and choose "MyCarrierPackets"

Enter your recently created Integration Credentials

Final Step: Contact your EZ Loader Support Team at support@ezloadertms.com to notify us that we need to schedule a mass MCP update for historical carriers in your account. Going forward new carriers will automatically connect with MCP.

Functionality - Carrier Monitoring

Once your MCP integration is active, EZ Loader will pull in the following data from MCP for Onboarded Carriers:

  • Cargo + Liability Insurance
  • Risk Assessment
  • W9 information
  • COI, W9, and Carrier Agreement Document
  • Contact Details
  • Payee Information
    • Note: There will be a flag within EZL if a carrier requests a factoring company as their payee.

When a carrier's MC number is entered into the New Carrier Wizard within EZL, the Risk Assessment and Insurance Pass/Fail overview will display within EZL. You then have two options to add a Carrier within your EZ Loader account.

Option 1: Clicking the green Send Onboarding button will request MCP to send a Carrier Onboarding email to the Carrier. If the Carrier's Risk Assessment is unacceptable within MCP, EZ Loader will display a pop up window with a message stating you must send a Carrier Onboarding e-mail from within MCP. Once the carrier is fully onboarded within MCP, the remaining information (W-9 Info, Documents, Contacts, Payee Info) will pull into the carrier profile in EZ Loader.

Option 2: Clicking the blue Save button will not request MCP to send a Carrier Onboarding email and will simply create the Carrier profile within EZ Loader. Only the Carrier's Risk Assessment Rating and Carrier Insurance Information will pull into the profile. You must go into your MCP account to submit a Carrier Onboarding email from within MCP.

  • NOTE: To allow EZ Loader to pull in the remaining Carrier information (W-9 Info, Documents, Contacts, Payee Info), you must change the Carrier profile's Status back to Onboarding Sent.

Sync Frequency

Every 5 Minutes EZL will make a call to MCP to check for any current carrier risk assessment and insurance updates, and also check for any new carriers who have just completed onboarding within MCP, while pulling in all of the newly onboarded Carrier's information.

Functionality - Onboarding

When the "Send Onboarding" option is selected through the New Carrier Wizard within EZL, instead of using EZL's carrier onboarding process the carrier will be sent an email directing them to MCP's onboarding form.

PLEASE NOTE: You must enter both the MC and DOT number when using MCP to sucessfully send an onboarding.

Once the onboarding is completed, the broker will receive a notification email and the provided information listed above will port into the carrier profile within EZL.
