3.4 - Customer Requirements to Build a Load
3.3 - Customer Profile Requirements to be Build a Load
There are only 2 requirements to build a load for a customer:
- Customer Profile status must be set to "Customer"
- Customer must have a Credit Limit set
We suggest a few more items to set up when adding a new Customer and making them active:
- Set up Assigned & Default Sales Reps
- Set up billing information and requirements
Setting Up & Activating the Customer Profile
To change a customers status to "Customer", navigate to the Customer Profile > Details > Customer Info > Edit Change Status to "Customer"
Change the status from whatever it is to "Customer" status
Establishing Customer Credit
In EZ Loader TMS a customer must have a credit limit set in order to build a load with the Customer. Your company establishes a credit limit and EZ Loader keeps up with how much is available based on the customers active loads. When a customer invoice is paid, they get that amount added back into their available credit.
*Note: A "New Customer Default Credit Limit" can be set within your EZ Loader account. Whenever a new customer is added they will automatically receive the default credit limit. E-mail support@ezloadertms.com to request a "New Customer Default Credit Limit"
To establish credit, navigate to Customer Profile > Accounting > Credit and Terms go in and add credit to the customer account
**IMPORTANT NOTE - Only admins and certain accounting users can add credit to a customer.
Assigning Users & Setting Default Sales Rep + Default GP Split %
In a customers profile you can set a default sales rep(s) who will be automatically tagged as the sales rep for any load built for that customer.
A default GP Split % will determine how much of the Gross Profit will be allocated to a Sales Rep. This split will automatically apply to each load built for this customer.
Assigned Reps
Setting an Assigned Rep on a customer profile will give that user visibility to any load built for that customer (ex. any loads a user is "assigned" will appear under their "my loads" list) but they will not be allocated any profit on sales reports. This feature works well for Ops Reps who may assist in monitoring loads but will not receive commission.

Set up billing information and requirements
Billing Information
To enter customer billing information navigate to the customer profile > Accounting > Billing
Requirements
Navigating to a customers profile > Accounting > Invoice Settings and Requirements, you can adjust two important settings:
- Invoice Doc Types - Anything doc type selected in this drop down will be included in the "Customer Invoice PDF Packet" during the invoicing process IF that document type has been uploaded into the documents section of the load.
- Invoice Requirements - These requirements affect the notifications you will receive during the "Invoice Audit" process. (Ex. If you select "Require Carrier Inv #" and a load does not have a carrier Inv # entered into the load profile, you will receive a notification that this requirement is missing from the load during the Invoice Audit process)
