Trucker Tools - Functionality (In Network Vs Out of Network Carriers)

When a Trucker Tools integration is live within your EZ Loader account, your Carrier profiles will be sent over to Trucker Tools.

Carriers who are in "Active" status and meet all additional requirements to be put on a load within EZ Loader (Click Here for Carrier Requirements) will be considered "In-Network" Carriers on the Trucker Tools side. "In-Network" Carriers will be able to accept load tenders without having to complete any additional carrier onboarding steps as well as have the ability to select the "Book It Now" feature on load postings within their Trucker Tools account (See more info on "Book It Now" below).

Carriers who have not been fully onboarded within EZ Loader will still have the ability to accept a load tender but they will first be sent a Digital Carrier Onboarding e-mail. The broker will be notified that a Carrier has accepted a load tender and is currently in the onboarding process. Once the Carrier has completed their Digital Onboarding, the broker will receive an additional notification email letting them know the Carrier has completed the form and the broker needs to review the Carrier profile and finalize the onboarding process.

Trucker Tools - Functionality (Posting to TT)

There are two methods for posting your load details out to Trucker Tools.

Option 1: Through the New Load Wizard

When building a new load through the New Load Wizard, you'll reach Page 3 where you have the option of assigning a Carrier. You will see a check box next to "Trucker Tools". Selecting this checkbox and selecting "Create" will generate the load profile and post the details to Trucker Tools.

***PLEASE NOTE: If a carrier rate is entered when posting to Trucker Tools, your "In-Network" Carries will have the ability to "Book It Now" (See section below)***

Note: You can set the checkbox to post to TT selected by default when new loads are built.

Option 2: Within a Load Profile

Within a load profile, when a Carrier is not assigned, you can select the "View Capacity" option under the Carrier section. This will return both Capacity (see section below for additional information) and Post the load to Trucker Tools.

***PLEASE NOTE: If a Carrier rate is entered when posting to Trucker Tools, your "In-Network" Carriers will have the ability to "Book It Now" (See section below)***

Trucker Tools - Functionality (Book It Now)

When a Load is posted to Trucker Tools through EZ Loader AND a Carrier rate is entered into the load, your "In-Network" Carriers will have the ability to "Book it Now". When an "In-Network" Carrier selects "Book it Now" on the Trucker Tools loadboard, the Carrier will automatically be sent a Carrier Rate Confirmation. Additionally, the EZ Loader User who posted the load to TT will receive a notification email letting them know a Carrier has been assigned to a load. The "Book it Now" feature functions on a first come, first serve basis.

Trucker Tools - Functionality (Tracking)

This integration with Trucker Tools allows a user of EZ Loader TMS to send a tracking request to a driver. The driver will receive a notification via SMS notifying them that they have been assigned to a load. That tracking request SMS message will contain a link to open the Trucker Tools application. Once the driver accepts the tracking request, an EZ Loader User will be able to see tracking details within the "Shipment Tracking" section of the load page.

How to Send a Tracking Request

Step 1 – Go to Load Page and Click “Shipment Tracking” at the bottom of the page

Step 2 – Click “Start New Trucker Tools Tracking”

Step 3 – Enter the applicable phone number and click save to send the tracking request.

Step 4 - Once a driver accepts the tracking request and initiates the tracking, within the load profile will be a list of ping details. There is a blue button that will direct you to the trucker tools website portal with additional tracking and map information.

Trucker Tools - Functionality (Capacity)

This integration with Trucker Tools allows a user of EZ Loader TMS to request and view a list of suggested Carriers for a particular load all within the EZ Loader TMS load profile.

Step 1 - Access the load profile of which you wish to view Trucker Tools Capacity (Please note: the load must not currently have a Carrier assigned)

Step 2 - Under the "Carrier Section" select "Smart Capacity"

Step 3 - Selecting "Smart Capacity" will open a new "Rating & Capacity" tab containing the capacity results from Trucker Tools. This will also post the load to the Trucker Tools loadboard.

Step 4 - Select the checkbox next to any Carrier you would like to send a load tender to and select "Send Load Tender."

Step 4.1 - This will send an email to the selected Carriers containing the Load details. The Carrier will have to option to "Book the Load". If an "In-Network" Carrier selects to book the load it will assign that Carrier to the load profile within EZ Loader and send them a Rate Confirmation. If an "Out of Network" Carrier tries to book the load, they will first be directed to EZ Loader's Carrier Onboarding. (Please note: This works on a "first come first serve" basis. If you send 4 load tenders, the first Carrier to accept the load will be assigned and any other Carriers will receive a message that the load has already been covered.)
